Course Description

This bundle includes the following four (4) sessions, which are part of the Comprehensive ESG Programme 2nd Edition.

An introduction to ESG (Session 1)

ESG issues are changing the way we live our lives and the way we do business. This first session will introduce the topic of sustainability, give an overview of the current sustainability context and the implications for businesses today.

The Environmental Pillar (Session 2)

This session will explore the environmental aspects of ESG, with a focus on GHG emissions, achieving net zero and mitigating the impacts of climate change.

Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of environmental sustainability, including the risks and opportunities that it presents for businesses. They will also develop a strong foundation of how to incorporate sustainable practices within their organisation. Emphasis will be placed on uncovering the main drivers behind the growing pressure to prioritise environmental considerations and exploring effective strategies for addressing these challenges.

By the end of this session, participants will be equipped with knowledge and tools necessary to drive meaningful environmental change in their business and daily life.

The Social Pillar (Session 3)

The “S” in ESG relates to the social dimension. and refers to how an organisation manages relationships with its workforce, society and the broader political environment in which it operates. Human rights, business ethics, diversity and inclusion, supply chain management and the social impacts of its operations are some of the aspects that shall be discussed during this session. The aim is for organisations to ensure social equity and social justice for all their employees.

The Governance Pillar (Session 4)

The ‘G’ in ESG is often critical to any entity’s ability to achieve its environmental and social goals and thrive from an ‘E’ and ‘S’ perspective. This session will provide a comprehensive overview of the key elements that relate to the governance pillar of ESG, and essentially it will focus on the Corporate Behaviour and Governance Framework dimensions.
