Course Description

The ‘G’ in ESG is often critical to any entity’s ability to achieve its environmental and social goals and thrive from an ‘E’ and ‘S’ perspective. This session will provide a comprehensive overview of the key elements that relate to the governance pillar of ESG, and essentially it will focus on the Corporate Behaviour and Governance Framework dimensions, as set out in the following learning outcomes.

This session forms part of a programme constituting a total of nine (9) sessions, all of them contribute towards CPE hours.

Although we encourage participants to book all the sessions, various options are available to suite the needs of various professionals working in Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and large companies who would like to upskill themselves in ESG.

Course Structure

Learning outcomes: Corporate Behaviour

  • Grasp the importance of a well articulated and disseminated corporate culture;
  • Understand the role of business integrity and ethical business conduct
  • Manage legal and regulatory risk including tax governance
  • Become familiar with key aspects of EU Taxonomy

Governance Framework

  • Achieve the right board composition and diversity;
  • Understand ESG governance models
  • Set up the right strategy and risk oversight framework with a focus on ESG risk management;
  • Understand the important role that ESG plays in preventing corruption and bribery.
