ESG and Taxation (Session 6) 2024
Course Description
Tax considerations will inevitably be at the heart of any response to the challenges and opportunities brought by the acceleration in the ESG agenda. This session will offer participants insights into the tax-related opportunities and risks associated with adopting an ESG strategy.
This session forms part of a programme constituting a total of nine (9) sessions, all of them contribute towards CPE hours.
Although we encourage participants to book all the sessions, various options are available to suite the needs of various professionals working in Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and large companies who would like to upskill themselves in ESG.
Course Structure
Learning outcomes:
- Understand the impact of green taxes and tax incentives on decarbonisation/Net Zero journeys and ESG related changes to supply chains;
- Identify the practical impact of CBAM (Cross-border Adjustment Mechanism) and associated reform of the EU ETS (Emissions Trading System);
- Consider the main tax implications of the people and ‘S’ related aspects of any ESG related measures including reward design and upholding the right work practices, and people-oriented tax incentives;
- Consider other relevant tax developments on the horizon and their potential impact on business.
