- Tour of the Power BI Desktop Interface
- Creating a new Power BI project
- Data Sources and Transformation
- Loading data into Power BI Desktop
- Basic Data transformations using Query Editor
- Removing unnecessary columns and rows
- Renaming columns and tables
- Adding calculated columns
- Creating relationships between tables
- Configuring cross-filtering and cross-highlighting behaviour
- Establishing relationship cardinality (one-to-one, one-to-many)
- Interactive Data Visualisations

Prerequisites
- Basic computer skills – Ability to navigate common office applications
- Familiarity with Excel – Understanding of basic formulas and data tables will help.
- Completion of the Data Literacy course (recommended) – Knowledge of data types, quality, and basic modelling concepts.
- Comfort with numbers – No advanced maths required, but ability to interpret figures is useful.
- Interest in data-driven decision-making – A willingness to explore and apply insights.
Assessment
There is no final assessment. Participants will be guided during the course. At the end of the course, attendees will receive a Certificate of Attendance..
