Certified Chief Information Security Officer (CCISO)
Course Description
The Certified CISO (CCISO) is the first program of its kind aimed at producing top-level information security executives. This training and certification program does not focus solely on technical knowledge but on the application of information security management principles from an executive management point of view. The program was developed by professional experts in the field of security with key inputs from current top CISOs.
Course Structure
The following topics are covered:
Domain 1: Governance and Risk Management
Domain 2: Information Security Controls, Compliance, and Audit Management
Domain 3: Security Program Management & Operations
Domain 4: Information Security Core Competencies
Domain 5: Strategic Planning, Finance, Procurement, and Vendor Management
Should Attend
Professionals interested in gaining in-depth knowledge and skills covering the technical side of information security management. At the end of this course, one will develop the skills and knowledge required to transition into the highest ranks of information security management. You’ll learn to adapt your organisation’s information security in coordination with ever-changing risks and technologies, providing greater protection.
Prerequisites
In order to take the course (without the exam) there are no prerequisites. However, in order to sit for the CCISO exam, applicants need to demonstrate that they hold 5 years experience in at least 3 of the domains covered by CCISO. Students who do not meet the eligibility criteria for the CCISO exam can sit for the EC-Council Information Security Manager (EISM) exam & apply for the CCISO exam once they meet the requirements (Please contact the PwC’s Academy for further information).
Assessment
In order to earn the CCISO, every applicant must pass the exam covering all 5 CCISO domains, regardless of experience in each domain. The exam consists of 150 multiple-choice questions administered over two and a half hours. The questions on the exam
require extensive thought and evaluation.
