Course Description

This bundle includes the following five (5) sessions, which are part of the Comprehensive ESG Programme.

The Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) in practice (Session 5)

This session will provide participants with a clear outline on how to set up the roadmap for the reporting and Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) implementation process. It will offer a detailed overview of the CSRD, including the key features of CSRD such as the expanded scope of reporting requirements and an introduction to the ESRSs. This course will also provide participants with an overview of effective sustainability reporting practices, including identifying key stakeholders, data identification, data collection, data analysis and reporting. Additionally, participants will develop an understanding of emerging sustainability trends, including the importance of integrating sustainability concerns into strategy development and risk mitigation, along with the urgency required. Participants will conclude this course with the knowledge and tools necessary to navigate the complex landscape of sustainability reporting and better support their organisation in driving the necessary change.

ESG and Taxation (Session 6)

Tax considerations will inevitably be at the heart of any response to the challenges and opportunities brought by the acceleration in the ESG agenda. This session will offer participants insights into the tax-related opportunities and risks associated with adopting an ESG strategy.

ESG Strategy and Business Transformation (Session 7)

This session will offer participants insight into ESG strategy and business transformation, focusing on supporting SMEs and large companies in integrating environmental, social and governance factors into their business strategies. The goal of this session is to support participants in understanding how to develop an institutional ESG framework, create an ESG vision and mission, and explore available support aimed at encouraging ESG implementation and integration. The session will introduce a range of topics that are designed to provide participants with practical guidance and an in-depth understanding of ESG topics that will support them in transforming their business strategies through an ESG lens.

ESG Technology Aspects (Session 8)

This session will provide participants with an in-depth understanding of the key aspects of environmental, social and governance compliance (ESG), and the role that technology can play in supporting data collection and processing. The session will cover several topics, which will equip participants with the knowledge and tools necessary to carry out best practices in ESG compliance. Participants will be introduced to an easy-to-follow ESG data collection and processing procedure that is transferable to a range of business activities. This process ensures that participants’ ESG approach remains flexible, scalable, accurate, meaningful and easy to track, with the support of technology. Participants will learn how to prioritise ESG topics and risks, perform an ESG audit, and establish workflows which are essential to an effective compliance programme which they can apply to different business contexts, thereby establishing a sustainable and effective approach to ESG compliance.

ESG application workshop (Session 9)

This last session will consolidate and apply knowledge from the previous sessions into a case study and enable SMEs and large companies to start embedding ESG into their strategy and operations. This session is designed to be an interactive workshop that will apply a practical lens to the theoretical concepts learned. It will involve active discussion around industry-specific challenges and opportunities, referencing best practice examples and finishing off with a self-assessment using our ESG readiness tool.

Practical insights into measuring GHG emissions and net zero [online] (Session 10)

Understanding GHG emissions and the pitfalls in their measurement is necessary as companies start to report this information and plan mitigation measures. This sort of information will be a key pillar under CSRD but also an essential part in the transition to a more sustainable future.

This training session is designed to provide participants with the essential knowledge and tools to accurately measure and categorise GHG emissions that are associated with their organisational operations. We will delve into the three scopes of emissions, as defined by the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, give practical insights into their measurement and provide a comprehensive understanding of what achieving net zero really entails.

This bundle constitute five (5) out of the nine (9) sessions, making up the Comprehensive ESG Programme. All the sessions contribute towards CPE hours.

Although we encourage participants to book all the sessions, various options are available to suite the needs of various professionals working in SMEs and large companies who would like to upskill themselves in ESG.
